On the occasion of International Women’s Day, global visa agency VFS Global Academy at Jharkhand’s Deoghar has launched an all-women batch for the Travel and Hospitality Certification Programme.
According to a press statement by VFS, the launch of an all-women batch aims to empower women through specialised education and career opportunities in the growing travel and hospitality sector.
VFS says that its academy offers courses in travel and hospitality that are tailored to meet industry demands. The curriculum is designed to ensure students who complete their courses are ready for employment.
The firm adds that this initiative is aimed at equipping students with the skills they need to succeed in the field.
“VFS Global has made a significant step in supporting women’s empowerment by starting an all-women batch. This move will surely motivate young women towards independence. Congratulations to VFS Global Academy for focusing on skilling the youth in Deoghar, especially for creating tailored programmes that empower young women,” said Nishikant Dubey, MP, who inaugurated the batch at Deoghar.

“We are launching an all-women batch to encourage women to pursue careers in the hospitality industry, responding to their growing interest in this field. This initiative supports the Indian government’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign and aligns with the International Women’s Day 2024 theme,’’ said Prabuddha Sen, Chief Operating Officer, South Asia, VFS Global.
The statement adds that VFS Global Academy, opened in August 2023 on the Software Technology Park of India campus in Deoghar, was established with the purpose of providing quality education in the travel and hospitality segment.
