Applications are now open for Indian students to apply for tourism and hospitality courses

Offering holistic training in tourism activity with a special focus on developing competency, Portugal’s National Tourism Agency and Authority has invited applications from Indian students keen to pursue hospitality. The last date to apply online is February 22, 2022.

Turismo de Portugal, the Portuguese National Tourism Agency and Authority has invited applications by Indian students to apply for tourism and training programme. The programme is aimed at promoting, valuing, assuring the sustainability of the touristic activity with a special focus on inculcating specific competencies amongst students to train the future generations of the human resources in the industry.

The training school has been recognised as the best training facility in the 14th edition of the UNWTO awards in 2018. The agency, having a network of 12 hotel and tourism schools, namely Viana do Castelo, Douro-Lamego among others, strive to train the best human resources in the tourism sector

To keep up with the needs of the market, Escolas do Turismo de Portugal curricular programmes are designed to equip students with a solid technical preparation which will grant them a fast placement in the market. The quality of the school courses can be ascertained from the fact that they have a 90 pc graduate employment rate. According to their last conducted study in the year 2017, 90 pc of graduates were placed in the labour market in less than three months. The course is designed to place a high emphasis on the fast employability of students and to prepare those in advance who wish to start their own business at some point in the future.

Applications are open for international students and schools including Viana do  Castelo, Porto, Coimbra, Oeste, Estoril, Lisboa, Setúbal e Vila Real de Stº António are offering courses in culinary arts, food & beverage management and hospitality operations management in the English language for the year 2021-2022.
