With a view to attract couples for the Valentine’s Day, The Residence Maldives, a luxury hotel, has outlined a series of experiences to mark seven days of Valentine’s week this year, for the couples to enjoy an unforgettable vacation.

In a press statement, the hotel says that the water pool villa is what vacation dreams are made of. It invites guests to check into the deluxe room tucked away in one of the most private locations of the resort and indulge their senses with the sights and sounds of the Indian ocean. After a round of the room, visitors can step onto the deck and take in the beauty of gentle waves lapping right at the doorsteps. It invites couples to take the plunge together into the pool and soak in the Maldivian sun. With the gentle breeze being the conversation starter as they witness schools of fish flitting between vivid coral reefs in the glistening waters. One can also have the quintessential breakfast basket in the pool.

Another activities is to invite the couples to make a grand gesture of love on the beachfront, over the ocean, or by the pool. A beach dinner includes cocktails and gourmet canapes, followed by an intimate candlelit dinner for two under a canopy of stars with the sound of waves for company. Guests can also opt for a castaway island in the Indian Ocean for a day of a private dining experience and picnic. The chef and his team ensure that all the wishes are turned into a reality.

The hotel says that yet another experience to be had together is at the spa as the grind of daily life in the city not just takes a toll on the health and mental well-being, but also erodes the moments that lovers should spend together. It invites guests to make it up for all the lost time by stepping into a sanctuary of wellness at the first and only Spa by Clarins in the Maldives. The most recommended couple spa treatment can be experienced in the privacy of a pavilion at the spa, which is seated at the end of a jetty, overlooking the lagoon and coral reefs. The treatment begins with a foot bath ritual, followed by an exfoliating Clarins body polisher. A Clarins melting honey body massage relieves stress. The two-hour romantic journey concludes with a customised facial. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or herbal tea together at the end. With the globally renowned Clarins’ spa products, active ingredients with plant origins, and formulas developed for the expert hands, the treatment is pure indulgence.

Those who love adventure can avail motorised water sports activities that include jet ski rides, jet ski safari that also includes snorkelling or sandbank activities, and banana rides. Other water-based activities include wakeboarding, water skiing, kneeboarding, parasailing, and windsurfing.

Another unique experience is diving that begins with a theory lesson, and the experience includes two sessions, one in confined water and the other an open-water dive as diving experts accompany guests on their quest to uncover the colourful life underwater. The scuba diving session also includes full equipment rental.

One can also set sail on a traditional Maldivian dhoni to explore the unspoiled coral reefs followed by a snorkelling expedition. Discover the beauty of multi-hued coral reefs, and the rich underwater biodiversity of the Maldives in a 90-minute guided excursion.

The hotel also invites guest to renew their vows in a dreamy barefoot ceremony. It says that there is something about flowy white gowns, a beach, and romance. Very few can claim to not imagine getting hitched in a dreamy setting by the beach. The hotel says that the guests’ dream can turn into reality at The Residence Maldives, as the wedding planner can put together a beautiful ceremony, that is symbolic and non-legally binding, but complete with wedding cake, dining, decoration, photography, and entertainment. It invites guests to renew their vows amid magical sunset and beats of traditional bodhu beru drums.

The sunset over the Indian Ocean is no less than a page from an art book. It says that few experiences can be better than celebrating togetherness with a glass of bubbly during the 90 minutes of the dolphin cruise.
