In a move to promote South Korea as a travel destination across India, Korea Tourism Organisation recently conducted a roadshow in Kochi in coastal state of Kerala and engaged with travel trade agents from Kerala.

On the heels of two previous events in Mumbai and Bengaluru, the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) has recently concluded its roadshow at Kochi in Kerala, to educate travel agents in the southern state about the myriad experiences that South Korea has to offer.

In a press statement, KTO says that the event was marked by “insightful presentations, engaging discussions and a great turnout of enthusiastic participants”.

“We are thrilled with the impressive turnout and success of the Korea Roadshow 2024 in Kochi. It has been a wonderful opportunity to connect with our travel partners, and their enthusiasm has been both impressive and motivating. This event has allowed us to provide them with the tools and knowledge to promote Korea as a premier travel destination,” says Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director for India and SAARC Countries, KTO.

KTO says that the event was inaugurated by the Regional Director himself, setting the tone for an informative and productive session. Attending the event were groups like Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), SKAL, and Travel Agents Federation Of India (TAFI) who shared insights on the importance of Korean tourism.

The statement adds that one of the highlights of the roadshow was the comprehensive presentation by KTO India. This session delved into the unique attractions and travel opportunities in Korea, providing travel agents with the knowledge to craft unforgettable Korean itineraries for their clients.

This was complemented by presentations from visa outsourcing company VFS Global, detailing the visa processing procedures, and Singapore Airlines, discussing convenient and comfortable travel options.

These sessions ensured a seamless travel experience for visitors to Korea and provided attendees with a well-rounded understanding of the logistical aspects of travelling to Korea, the statement adds.

KTO says that these roadshows are part of KTO’s strategic initiative to target travel agents across India, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and promotion of Korean tourism on a pan-India scale. By reaching out to different regions, KTO aims to equip travel professionals nationwide with the insights and resources needed to boost travel to Korea.
