Abu Dhabi Tourism recently organised an event to celebrate the performance of its key travel agent partners in India, its largest source market.

The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) celebrated the success and contributions of 13 local New Delhi partners during an exclusive ceremony.

According to a press statement by DCT Abu Dhabi, the department organised events in New Delhi and Mumbai that gathered over 100 of DCT Abu Dhabi’s top trade partners and travel organisations gathered to celebrate India’s position as the number one source of tourists to Abu Dhabi.

The statement adds that a contingency of representatives from both international and local offices, including DCT Abu Dhabi’s Director General for Tourism Saleh Mohammed Al Geziry and Director of International Operations for DCT Abu Dhabi Abdulla Yousuf, were present on the occasion.

“These events to recognise our partners’ success are a display of the incredible work that Abu Dhabi and India have achieved together. As we look back on the success of the past 12 months, I feel great excitement for what is yet to come. Abu Dhabi will continue to innovate, growing and elevating the experiences offered to the Indian market, and constantly looking at new ways to inspire travellers,” says Yousuf.

The statement adds that in addition to the two events, the trip to New Delhi and Mumbai served as a platform for high-level and strategic meetings to maintain and forge relations with existing and potential partners.
