The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 was hosted by Abu Dhabi at Yas Island in the Yas Marina Circuit. The title of the champion was bagged by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing this weekend at the premier leisure and entertainment hub. The 22nd and final race of Formula 1’s longest ever season was the only twilight race on the F1 calendar and ended in a spectacular style.
The leisure island hosted the international partners Kesari Travels, SOTC India, Amsalem Tours & Travel, Intourist, Seera Group, Aristeya Ukraine, FCM Travel and First Travel partners in addition to regional partners Webbeds, WEGO, Coral Travel and the Indian Ambassador to the UAE.
This year’s Grand Prix experienced a return of the fans to a full capacity at Yas Marina Circuit with precautionary measures in place as fans needed to present a Green Pass through the Al Hosn app and a negative PCR test within 48-hours to enter the venue. As part of the festivities over the weekend, Yas Island’s travel partners joined thousands of fans and attended the star-studded Yasalam after-Race Concerts at Etihad Park, which included performances by American R&B star Khalid, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, and British Rapper Stormzy.
The race took place at the centrepiece of Yas Island. The island features the destination’s award-winning theme parks, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Warner Brothers World Abu Dhabi, in addition to Yas Mall, 10 world-class hotels and over 165 dining experiences, as well as the newly-opened Yas Bay Waterfront as Abu Dhabi’s vibrant day to night destination.
