Kickstarting the final 100 days countdown, more than 250,000 new tickets for the Olympic Games go on sale this Wednesday, April 17 from 10:00 CET (13:30 IST) on the official ticketing website.
In a press statement, the organisers say that this will be one of the last opportunities to secure a seat to the Games, with the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games on July 26.
The organisers say that half of new tickets that are on sale are for EUR 100 or less. This includes almost 20,000 tickets priced at EUR 24, while sports previously advertised as sold out will once again be available.
The statement adds that 9,000 new tickets will go on sale for the equestrian events in the gardens of the Château de Versailles, ranging from EUR 24 to EUR 420.
The organisers say that new tickets for team sports, including for football matches held across France, will go on sale in all price categories. All group matches for the French men’s and women’s football teams will be available from EUR 30.
Around 60,000 tickets will be available for the Basketball group matches of the women’s and men’s tournament, set to be held in Lille at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. This includes tickets for all of the USA men’s matches with their team of household names, as well as other stars such as Frenchman Victor Wembanyama. The USA-Serbia clash, which had previously sold out, now has tickets available from EUR 50.
The Olympic and Paralympic Games will also be available in Premium mode where tickets for the sporting events are combined with luxurious hospitality experiences, including drinks, catering, entertainment, accommodation and more. Tickets allow access to dedicated areas at the competition venues or in the heart of Paris, the statement adds.
The most affordable packages will be available from EUR 100 including VAT, to the most exclusive, which will also include ceremonies.
