According to a press statement, this conference serves as a platform to explore and discuss the intersection of technology and tourism, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation. The statement adds that by embracing AI and leveraging social media effectively, businesses can position themselves at the forefront of the industry, adapt to changing consumer behaviors and drive sustainable growth in the business of the future.

The organisers say that the Tech and Tourism Conference invites leaders from the travel and technology fraternity to converge and create the future of travel.

They add that the conference theme, The Intersection of Technology and Tourism – The Untapped Opportunities, promises two days of immersive learning, networking, and exploration. Attendees will discover how technology can enhance the travel experience, making it more accessible, immersive, and informative, they say.

The statement adds that the conference would be a platform to showcase initiatives, policies, and innovations in technology and tourism. Participants can engage with experts, network with industry leaders, and gain insights into the latest trends. It goes on to say that the exhibitors can showcase products, services, and technologies to a targetted audience and also interact with potential customers, forge partnerships and generate leads.

The organisers also say that recognising the transformative power of technology, especially with the advent of artificial intelligence (AI), the conference emphasises the crucial role of AI and social media in the travel industry. They add that social media platforms have revolutionised business interactions, providing unprecedented access to global audiences, while AI has the potential to revolutionize various aspects of the travel industry, from personalised recommendations to intelligent chatbots.

They also add that the conference will host panel discussions addressing the role of Learning and Development (L&D) in equipping professionals with the necessary skills to thrive in the dynamic travel industry. Topics include the impact of AI on employability, the transformation of the job-seeking landscape, employability skills in the evolving industry, and the role of the L&D community in driving innovation.
