W Hotels, a brand of Marriott International, is set to make its debut in Scotland in the United Kingdom later this year as W Edinburgh opens doors to guests in November.
According to a press statement, W Edinbugh, that will open over seven years after it was first announced, will soon start accepting reservations.
The 244-room hotel was first announced back in 2016, when the brand was still operated by Starwood Hotels prior to its merger with Marriott, and features a distinct spiral ribbon exterior.
It forms part of the mixed use St James Quarter in Edinburgh’s East End, which also comprises an aparthotel property under the Roomzzz brand.
W Edinburgh will also feature a rooftop restaurant by Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian fusion brand Sushisamba, as well as Joao’s Place cocktail bar, the brand’s signature W Lounge, a fitness centre and spa facilities.
It will join W London as only the second W Hotel property in the United Kingdom.
