Dutch hospitality chain CitizenM is expanding its presence in the United States with three planned openings in Austin, Boston and Miami. This will take its total number of hotels to 36 across Europe, North America and Asia.

CitizenM Austin Downtown will open in early 2024 in partnership with Turnbridge Equities. The 17-storey tower will house a 344-room hotel with a rooftop pool and bar, a 24/7 canteenM and a gym.
CitizenM Boston Back Bay will open in summer 2024 and will mark the largest property in the brand’s portfolio, located on the northern side of the Parcel 12 mixed-use development in the Back Bay neighbourhood.
The 399-room hotel will be Boston’s second CitizenM property and the city’s first all-electric hotel. Interiors will include contemporary artwork, photography and found objects by Boston-based artists. Facilities, meanwhile, will include a gym with panoramic views of Newbury Street, and a rooftop bar and terrace.
Next summer will also see the arrival of the brand’s third hotel in Miami, located on Lincoln Road in the South Beach area. The 168-key CitizenM Miami South Beach will include a rooftop infinity pool and hidden bar, an outdoor terrace and art throughout.
The brand will also add several more properties to its portfolio in the coming years, including its debut in Dublin, two new locations in London and a third property in Washington DC Georgetown.
CitizenM launched in 2008, and now counts 33 hotels in its portfolio, including in US cities such as Boston, Washington, New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago.
