TTF series inaugurate the travel marketing season for the trade to meet, mix and market. Kolkata and Hyderabad will be the first two cities to welcome the fair that attracts thousands of visitors from India and abroad. This year TTF will also include a platform to connect, engage and deliberate on the latest in travel technologies. Media India Group – with its magazines : India Outbound and India & You – is the official media partner of the TTF fairs.

“In a continent-sized country like India, the regional markets for domestic and outbound tourism are so strong that they needed their own travel trade shows. Fairfest Media Ltd pioneered the concept with the TTF shows way back in 1989 when there was no such show in the country. TTF is now organised in nine cities every year ”, says Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO, Fairfest Media Limited (organiser of TTF shows).

Kolkata and Hyderabad – where the TTF fairs will be organised respectively in July 8-10 and 15-17 –  represent an important source market. “Needless to mention the huge importance of Kolkata as a source market and gateway to the Eastern India, those in travel business know it too well”, adds Sanjiv Agarwal.

With more than 2,500 Exhibitors from 80 countries and 36 Indian States/Union Territories, and 186,000 visitors combined, TTF is the largest network of travel trade show in India.

With a wide array of tourism offerings outbound representations from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Bangladesh, Dubai, China, Bhutan, Macau and more have set the bar high at various TTFs this year. Among the state tourism departments who have in-principally committed big participation in these two TTF editions are: Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Odisha, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, Karnataka and more.

Tech Forum and Startups

In today’s world where everything is just a click away, going digital is the need of the hour. A major chunk of consumers rely on online portals for everything to anything.

The TechForum@TTF focuses on Technology, E-commerce Systems & Software for the travel industry. It is also a networking platform to discuss challenges, evaluate technology needs, source latest technologies and launch new technology products.

The StartupKnockDown+ invites companies at various stages of development, be it an early stage venture or an emerging travel start-up or an innovative product by a recognised enterprise. Beyond networking, all the travel startups registering for the battle have exciting offers from the leading partners of the event like 10,000 Start-ups, an initiative by NASSCOM, Calcutta Angels, Amadeus Next and Agnitio etc.

ASIACOM, the digital marketing startup (part of Media India Group)  based in France and India will also be present to showcase its activities and look for partners. ASIACOM will notably present AsiacomTrav, a unique digital solution to specifically cater to the digital requirements of the travel trade. “In this day and age your website is the face of your company. It acts like a visiting card that has to give all the information pertaining to your company in a precise manner. With ever changing web designs and technology, it becomes all the more important for tour operators to keep their websites updated. The competition amongst travel websites is stiff and if your website is not user friendly, chances are you will lose your potential customers to hundreds of other travel websites in the market,” says Christine Nayagam, Director of ASIACOM and Media India Group.

“The tedious and time consuming task of manually preparing the itineraries can be dealt with if you have a well-developed online portal where anybody in the company can enter day by day itinerary with relevant images from anywhere in the world. On top of it, you will be able to share the updated information in form of PDFs or on your social media platforms with your clients on a daily basis”, adds Manoj Upadhyay, Project Manager at ASIACOM.
