Texan travel technology firm Sabre has announced the dates for its annual Sabre Space roadshows in India, starting with Delhi and Mumbai.

In a press statement, Sabre says that the Sabre Space events will take place in India on May 8 in Delhi, and May 10 in Mumbai to offer an in-person platform for agents to explore the latest technology trends and insights into today’s digital-first travel landscape. It will be followed by later elsewhere in Asia Pacific.

The statement adds that the agenda of the roadshow includes the latest market and global travel trends, as well as how travel agencies can ensure they do not get left behind amid growing New Distribution Capability (NDC) offers. Sabre says it will also demonstrate how to streamline travel operations and enhance travel offers through multi-source content, as well as what to expect from Sabre’s Artificial Intelligence-driven technology.

“We are thrilled to press on with the momentum of our Sabre Space roadshows. Our Sabre Space events were a huge success when we launched them in 2023 and we continue to add new insights and information for 2024 as the travel landscape, and Sabre’s technology, evolves at pace. We can’t wait to talk to our agency partners in India about the trends we are seeing in the marketplace, and hear about what really matters to them,” says Brett Thorstad, Vice President of Sabre Travel Solutions, Agency Sales & Airline Distribution, Asia Pacific.

“Customer collaboration is of the utmost importance at Sabre and by enabling open discussion and ideas sharing through these events, we can advance digital transformation and unlock business growth opportunities together,” Thorstad adds.

Sabre says that its partnership with Google Cloud in Artificial Intelligence-driven technology will help travel businesses redefine their retailing and customer strategies.

The statement adds that Sabre will be uncovering its latest applications and micro-services that can help agents turn insights from analyses into repeatable, scalable operations. Agents will also find out about how to unlock growth opportunities with a wide range of pan-industry intelligence through Sabre’s insights solutions.

Events also include how to enhance revenue with each customer transaction through Sabre’s Content Services for Lodging, as well as how Sabre’s newly launched Global Shopping capability, infused with advanced AI, can help agents find the right fares on shopping requests for their travellers.

With ever-growing demands on travel agents, automation is increasingly important for agents to maximise efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction at scale by automating repeatable tasks. Agents will learn how Sabre’s Automation Hub can automate complex agency workflows and ticketing processes.

“Having returned to Sabre at the beginning of this year to oversee our agency business in India and South Asia, my utmost priority is our customers. Sabre is continuously innovating and enhancing our technology so we have a raft of valuable updates and insights to talk about at our Sabre Space events. I’m looking forward to connecting and re-connecting with our valued agency partners to strategise about how we can further innovate and grow together,” says Sam Machado, Managing Director for India and South Asia at Sabre.
