PATA Nepal Chapter kicks off 5th PATA Youth Talent Quest

Youth Talent Quest is an annual event by PATA Nepal Chapter as a part of its engagement with Young Tourism Professionals

The 5th edition of PATA Youth Talent Quest (YTQ2023) got off to a flying start with a Tourism and Hospitality Quiz at Mid-Valley International College, Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu on Thursday.

PATA Nepal Chapter is organising the 5th Youth Talent Quest in the Himalayan country with the objective to develop the youth and help them in identifying their skill sets for future employment in various segments of hospitality and tourism industries. As part of this campaign-cum-competition, a Tourism and Hospitality Quiz was organised in Kathmandu on Thursday, according to a press statement by PATA Nepal.

The statement adds that the Global College International won the Hospitality and Tourism Quiz Competition represented by students Tshering Thokar, Bijay Kumar Chaudhary and Ishan Nepal. Similarly, Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management, represented by Apil Maharjan, Kshitiz Acharya and Bibek Mishra and Mid-Valley International College, represented by Christina Parsai, Chandra Prakash Kunwar and  Dawa Jangmu Sherpa, stood 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up respectively, says the press statement.

PATA Nepal Chapter is organising the 5th Youth Talent Quest in collaboration with the PATA Nepal Student Chapter, and support from various organisations and sponsors, says the statement. The next event under the 5th Youth Talent Quest includes PATA Young Tourism Professional Chefs Competition and Content Writing Competition to be held on January 7 at NATHM college.

Youth Talent Quest (YTQ) is an annual event by PATA Nepal Chapter as a part of its engagement with Young Tourism Professionals (YTPs) that provides a platform among the students from PATA Nepal Chapter member colleges to compete and showcase their multifaceted talents, knowledge, and skills. It aims to uncover talented young tourism professionals, and further empower them with the necessary training, involvement, and exposure to PATA Nepal Chapter programmes and activities, and engage them in the best possible way to carve their successful future endeavours.
