Hectic preparations are underway as Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF) and art director Michael Rossi bring the Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights from December 18 to January 7, 2024. According to a press statement, the festival will showcase a blend of music, lights and projection mapping displays to celebrate the rich tapestry of international holiday traditions.

The organisers say that the festival is a ‘must-see experience’ that features a series of live musical performances spanning a diverse range of genres, allowing attendees to revel in the joyous sounds of the holiday season.

Adding to the excitement will be beloved holiday characters who will make live appearances throughout the show, including Santa Claus, the Grinch and Elsa, say the organisers. These iconic characters are sure to appeal to attendees of all ages, combining the magic of music with the latest projection mapping technology.

In the statement, they add that through the innovative use of projection mapping technology, which overlaps video onto all surfaces, MMF will turn some of hospitality firm Ocean Drive Association’s most iconic building facades, including the Betsy Hotel, into interactive displays with vibrant imagery. Projection mapping allows for intricate designs and captivating visuals to be triggered by live musical performances, adding an extra layer of enchantment.

The organisers say that since its first edition in 2013, Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF) has been presenting exhilarating concerts, featuring gifted young musicians and world-renowned performers, for locals and visitors alike. It has also established Miami as a premier destination for elite young classical musicians to train and perform.
