India’s largest airline IndiGo has announced the removal of fuel charge applicable on its domestic and international routes, with immediate effect.

In a press statement, IndiGo says that the fuel surcharge had been introduced in October 2023, following a surge in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices. With recent reduction in ATF prices, IndiGo has withdrawn the charge.

The low-cost airline adds that, as ATF prices are dynamic, IndiGo will continue to adjust its fares and components thereof to respond to any change in prices or market conditions.

It remains committed to its promise of providing affordable, on-time, courteous and hassle-free travel for our customers, IndiGo adds.
