This latest list of promotions and senior appointments continue to play key roles in the organisation’s success

Emirates has announced a series of promotions and senior appointments, some operational since July 8 and others by September 1.

Emirates Group Chairman and CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum has announced senior appointments aimed at bolstering the organisation’s leadership team and fostering its expansion.

According to a press statement by Emirates, this latest list of promotions and senior appointments, many of whom have grown their careers at the Emirates Group in different roles and continue to play key roles in the organisation’s success.

“These appointments reflect the expanded scale, breadth and ambition of our business. I am heartened that we have been able to fill these roles with internal talent, including UAE nationals. The Emirates Group will continue to invest in being an employer of choice for the best talent in the industry, to deliver world-leading products and services, and reflect Dubai’s vision to be number one in everything we do,” says Sheikh Ahmed.

The statement adds that effective July 8 Ali Mubarak Al Soori has been named the Chief Procurement and Facilities Officer, Ahmed Safa as Head of Engineering and MRO, while Badr Abbas has been named Divisional SVP Emirates SkyCargo.

The statement adds that Mark Burtonwood has been assigned as Divisional SVP Group Safety and Network Operations, Mostafa Karam as Divisional SVP Customer Affairs and Service Audit, Yousuf Mohammad Ali  as the Divisional SVP Group Procurement and Logistics.

Emirates says David Broz has been named SVP Aeropolitical and Airline Industry Affairs, Devarajan Srinivasan as SVP Facilities and Asset Management, and Mahmood Al Khaja as SVP Material Management and Repairs while Will Lofberg has been named as SVP International and Government Affairs.

The statement adds that effective September 1, Shahreyar Nawabi will take over as CEO Emirates Flight Catering while Mahmood Ameen will oversee Divisional SVP Engineering Projects and Aircraft Procurement.
