A week-long Fan Festival will be held in Barcelona during the build-up to the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix, promising to bring fans closer to the world of F1 than ever before through various activities.

According to a press statement by the city of Barcelona, situated in the city centre between June 15-22, a dedicated Fan Village, Road Show and Fans Forum have all been planned, raising excitement levels for the Grand Prix weekend that follows at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from June 21 to 23.

The statement adds that the Fan Village, located in Plaça Catalunya, is set to showcase several F1 cars, replicas of a pit box, a podium, and a trophy, as well as pit stop simulation activities, shops selling official F1 products, a giant entertainment screen and evening concerts.

As for the Road Show, scheduled during the evening of June 19, some current F1 drivers will put on a special display through the streets of Barcelona, taking in the Paseo de Gracia and other iconic spots across the city.

Afterwards, the Fans Forum will take place on the Fan Village stage, featuring appearances from F1 drivers, further entertainment and more live music, say the organisers.

“The 2024 event will be the best Grand Prix ever held at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The city of Barcelona will also play a key role in everything surrounding the event. The circuit, the city of Barcelona and Formula 1 together create an essential success story for motor racing lovers,” says Roger Torrent, Catalan Minister of Business and Labour, and President of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

“The City Council of Barcelona has intensified its relationship with the circuit to the maximum. We want to stand by its side in this new stage that is now starting with all the ambition and collaboration possible. In this sense, Barcelona is one of the best cities in the world to organise and host sporting events and we support this project,” says David Escudé, Barcelona City Councillor for Sports.

The organisers say that the tickets for the Spanish Grand Prix can be purchased via the F1 website, with a range of general admission, grandstand and hospitality options available.
