When you reach the Mara, as the locals call it, it’s the adventurer within you that suddenly awakes. Spread over 1510 square kilometres of patchy landscape, with numerous acacia trees in the sprawling grassland, the Mara is also known for welcoming the great migration. It involves over 1,5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November, looking for fresh grass to feed on.
