As Peru seeks to restore tourism to 2019 levels and grow beyond, Promperu, the tourism promotion body of the country, is looking at emerging markets in Asia, besides the traditional markets of Europe and North and South America. Walter Vizarrete Vilcarromero, Executive President of Promperu, tells India Outbound that India is an important emerging market for Peru and that he is focusing on the high-end or luxury travellers.
