Los Angeles is seeing significant growth in cultural and artistic offerings
In a significant move to boost tourism from India, the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board participated in the 11th Brand USA India Mission in Hyderabad from January 19-23. The delegation showcased the city’s cultural, entertainment, and infrastructure developments, aiming to attract more Indian travellers.
In a press statement, Los Angeles Tourism Board says that the event brought together tourism stakeholders from across the United States to connect with Indian travel industry representatives and promote destinations to the growing Indian outbound travel market.
It adds that the Los Angeles delegation included Rofia Larsson, Vice President of Global Trade Development, and the India Office team comprising Seema Kadam, Regional Director, and Lakshmi Hariharan, Manager, Global Communications.

The statement adds that the presentations of delegations focussed on the city’s ongoing developments and the opportunities they present for Indian travellers.
It adds that the city is also seeing significant growth in cultural and artistic offerings. Projects such as Destination Crenshaw, a USD 100 million outdoor art initiative, and the opening of new museums and the upcoming venues like the Intuit Dome are also expected to contribute to the city’s appeal.
“Los Angeles is experiencing an incredible decade of sports and culture. With world-class events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup, NBA All-Star Games, Super Bowl XVI, and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the city is ready to welcome the world in ways we’ve never seen before. And that is not all we are also undergoing a multi-billion-dollar upgrade to Los Angeles International Airport, which will redefine the travel experience for international visitors,” says Kadam.
“India is the number 1 emerging market for LA, and we are thrilled to engage with our trade partners in India to showcase diverse experiences, from world-class museums, dining to iconic sporting events and immersive entertainment,” Kadam adds.
