Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira will headline the night, bringing her ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ World Tour to US for the first time since 2018
Washington DC is set to host the world’s largest LGBTQ+ celebration as WorldPride 2025 arrives, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Capital Pride.
In a press statement, Destination DC says that from May 17 to June 8, the city will transform into a global epicenter of love, diversity and unity, drawing millions from around the world for an unprecedented series of events, parades and cultural festivities.
The statement adds that the festivities will kick off on May 31 at Nationals Park with the WorldPride Welcome Ceremony and Concert. The evening will open with remarks from key performers and welcoming of Capital Cup athletes, celebrating five decades of advocacy and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community in DC.

The statement adds that the celebration continues into June with ‘Full Bloom’ on June 6, showcasing the best in queer nightlife with DJs and performers across three stages, both indoor and outdoor. Acts will include the Carry Nation, Flower Factory, Sweet Spot, DJ Ed Bailey and more.
Additionally, the centrepiece of the festivities is the WorldPride Music Festival, spanning June 6-7. Three stages will host a lineup featuring superstars such as Jennifer Lopez, Troye Sivan, Galantis, Grimes, Kim Petras, Marina, Paris Hilton, Purple Disco Machine and RuPaul, among others.

The statement adds that on June 7, after the Pride Parade, Tony and Grammy winner Cynthia Erivo will deliver a show-stopping performance in the heart of DC.
According to the statement, the celebration will conclude on June 8 with the WorldPride Street Festival Closing Concert, headlined by DOECHII, with Khalid and Brooke Eden also taking the stage.
