Utah Office of Tourism announced the appointment of Tera Wood as its Global Market Specialist
The Utah Office of Tourism has appointed Tera Atwood as its new Global Markets Specialist, with the objective of creating greater awareness and appeal among global visitors, notably Indian travellers.
In a press statement, Utah Office of Tourism says that as international travel from India continues to rise, Atwood’s role will be to increase Utah’s appeal among Indian travellers, fostering travel trade relationships, and developing targeted campaigns to position Utah as a must-visit destination in the United States.
“I have always been captivated by India’s rich cultural heritage, warm hospitality and incredible diversity. With a rapidly growing economy, an expanding global influence, and a diverse community of travellers seeking new experiences, India is an exciting and dynamic market to engage with. My key priority is to position Utah as a premier destination for Indian travellers. By showcasing our iconic landscapes, world-class adventures, and luxury experiences, Utah is the perfect place to satisfy the craving for unforgettable international travel,” says Atwood.
The statement adds that Utah has seen a notable surge in international visitors, surpassing pre-pandemic levels in 2024. In 2023, tourism contributed over USD 12 billion in visitor spending, with Indian travellers alone spending USD 16.7 million.
“My goal is to differentiate Utah as a must-visit destination and extend a warm welcome to Indian travellers seeking breathtaking experiences,” Atwood adds.
The statement says that Atwood will manage key markets across the Asia-Pacific region, including India, Australia, New Zealand, and China, as well as Canada and Mexico, collaborating with in-market representatives to drive Utah’s global presence.
