The project aims to leverage Utah’s long-standing cinematic legacy to boost film tourism known as America’s Film Set
Utah, a state in western United States, has launched a Film Trail to attract Indian filmmakers and travellers, highlighting the state’s long history in film and television production.
The trail features marked locations across Utah where well-known movies have been filmed. It provides a mapped route for visitors and film crews to explore these sites and gain insight into the scale and variety of productions shot in the region.
In a press statement, Utah Office of Tourism says that the project aims to leverage Utah’s long-standing cinematic legacy to boost film tourism known as America’s Film Set.

The statement adds that the initiative follows a growing trend of Indian filmmakers exploring international destinations for shoots and comes as Indian audiences show increased interest in global cinema and film-related travel.
It adds that Utah has hosted over 1,000 film and television productions since the early 20th century. The new trail formalises this heritage by guiding visitors through scenes featured in globally recognised titles.
