Thailand organises golf tourism networking event in Delhi

The “Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise Networking” was organised by Tourism Authority of Thailand and Pattaya City on February 10 at Delhi Golf Club

Tourism Authority of Thailand organised a golf tourism networking event in New Delhi with the participation of tour operators specialised in golf tourism as well as several golf destinations in the south east Asian nation.

On the sidelines of SATTE, one of leading travel trade fairs in India that took place in New Delhi last week, Tourism Authority of Thailand organised a presentation and networking event to promote the country and its various destinations for golf tourism in the booming Indian market.

According to a press statement, the “Amazing Thailand Golf Paradise Networking” was organised by Tourism Authority of Thailand and Pattaya City on February 10 at Delhi Golf Club. The statement adds that over 30 travel agents & event organisers from India participated the networking golf followed by presentation and lunch.

Tanes Petsuwan, Deputy Governor for International Marketing Asia and South Pacific gave welcome remarks, which were followed by destination update which highlighted golf destinations in Thailand such as Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Khao Yai and Phuket. The event also saw Titipun Pettrakul, Deputy Mayor – Pattaya City provide latest updates on attractions in Pattaya and activity for Indians travellers.

There were several representatives of golf courses as well as other stakeholders from Thailand tourism present at the event, says the statement.

The statement adds that Thailand also has amazing golf facilities as the country boasts of over 250 ideally located golf courses throughout the country, with golf courses by the sea, by the mountains, by the lakes, inside the cities and even besides the airports.

The statement says that besides top quality courses with reasonable green fees and friendly caddies, Thailand offers a diverse range of settings for the courses which are located at the beach resorts in the south such as Phuket to the mountainous surroundings in the Chiang Mai, north of Thailand or the bustling cities of Bangkok and Pattaya, there are golf courses to suit every preference.

The statement says that when it comes to hospitality no country comes closer to perfection than Thailand, offering something for everyone of diverse interest, every age and every budget. From pristine sandy beaches to lush jungles, bustling busy cities to traditional villages, Micheline star menus to roadside noodle stalls, historic Buddhist temples to 21st century sky scrapers, Thailand has it all from A2Z.
