To promote Pattaya and Phuket cities as ultimate getaway spots for Indian travelers and to strengthen business ties with its travel trade partners in India, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Mumbai Office co-hosted the Pattaya Variety Roadshow and Phuket Roadshow held on February 13 and February 15 respectively.

In a press statement, TAT Mumbai says that collectively, the roadshows were attended by over 120 Indian travel agents from Mumbai. The Pattaya Variety Roadshow welcomed 18 delegates from Pattayaas well as eminent members from governing bodiesDonnawit Poolsawat, Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate, and Thitiphan Phettrakul, Deputy Mayor of the Pattaya City.

The statement adds that the Phuket Roadshow 2023 was attended by 25 delegates from Phuket and welcomed key dignitaries such as Poolsawat Thaneth Tantipiriyakij, Phuket Tourism Association President and Kanokkorn Pattaravoranee, Vice President of Events and Activities.

The Roadshows served as crucial meeting points for Indian travel agents and Thai hoteliers to interact, strategise and collaborate with the aim of compelling Indians to visit emerging tourist attractions and hotels in Pattaya and Phuket cities.

“The high-octane business interactions and deals carried out during the Phuket and Pattaya Roadshow will consequently help in generating greater awareness towards emerging destinations in Thailand, which is a major part of TAT’s vision. Events as such not only help in strengthening long-term ties with our Indian travel agents but also aid them in more accurately representing burgeoning developments and tourist attractions in Thailand,” says Isada Saovaros, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Mumbai.

The statement adds that following the successful completion of both Roadshows, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Mumbai) will now look forward to the ‘Amazing Thailand Festival 2023’ scheduled for March 24-26.
