Sri Lanka MICE Tourism Conclave 2025 to be held on May 24

The event will centre on the development of a tourism network, creating new growth opportunities and establishing a critical platform for industry stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions

Sri Lanka MICE Tourism Conclave (SLMTC) 2025, a one-day event that will bring together key stakeholders from the tourism industry to explore growth opportunities in MICE tourism, will take place on May 24 in Colombo.

Sri Lanka MICE Tourism Conclave (SLMTC) 2025, organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB), will be held on May 24 at the BMICH, a large convention centre in Colombo.

In a press statement, the organisers say that the event is designed to be a platform for the Sri Lanka’s tourism industry to come together, share innovative ideas and contribute to the growth of the country’s tourism sector, with a particular focus on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.

The statement adds that the one-day forum will centre on the development of a tourism network, creating new growth opportunities and establishing a critical platform for industry stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions. It will also address key areas for the advancement of the sector, including, talent development, innovation, new business models and sustainability.

Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (SLITHM), Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, University of Colombo, NSBM Green University and the University College of Jaffna have joined as knowledge partners for the event, further strengthening the forum’s focus on youth participation and academic engagement, adds the statement.
