Al-Fakhri has expertise spans investment banking, institutional coverage, and tourism strategy

In a bid to further diversify its team, World Travel and Tourism Council has named Qusai Al-Fakhri, CEO of the Tourism Development Fund (TDF) in Saudi Arabia as a new member of its Executive Committee. Al-Fakhri brings over two decades of experience in the industry.

The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), a leading organisation of the global tourism industry, has announced the appointment of Qusai Al-Fakhri, CEO of the Tourism Development Fund (TDF) in Saudi Arabia, as a member of its Executive Committee.

In a press statement, WTTC says that Al-Fakhri brings more than two decades of experience in corporate and investment banking, as well as a strong track record in tourism development.

It says that Al-Fakhri has held several high-profile roles throughout his career, including serving as an investment advisor to the Minister of Tourism for Saudi Arabia, co-founder of Tiraz Al Arabia and CEO of Al Ajial Holding.

The statement adds that he is also a board committee member in several government entities that are related to tourism in Saudi Arabia. He has held independent board positions with prominent financial institutions such as Al Rajhi Takaful and Samba Financial Group. 

Al-Fakhri has expertise spans investment banking, institutional coverage, and tourism strategy, making him a valuable addition to WTTC’s Executive Committee, the statement adds.

According to WTTC, Al-Fakhri’s deep experience in finance and travel and tourism development will be key in advancing WTTC’s objectives, particularly in high-growth regions like Saudi Arabia, which is fast becoming a premier global destination.
