The cruises aim to boost India’s cruise tourism sector
In a significant move to expand its presence to India, Resorts World Cruises, a Singapore-based luxury cruise operator, will debut the homeporting of its ship, Resorts World One, homeporting in Mumbai from March 5 to June 1, 2025. The new initiative aims to enhance India’s growing cruise tourism sector with diverse itineraries.
In a press statement, RWC says that the cruise will offer three weekly roundtrip itineraries departing from the new Mumbai International Cruise Terminal.
It adds that the itineraries include a 2-night weekend high seas cruise on Fridays, a 3-night Lakshadweep cruise to Agatti Island on Sundays, and a 2-night Goa cruise on Wednesdays.
Resorts World Cruises says that the cruises aim to boost India’s cruise tourism sector, aligning with the Indian government’s “Cruise Bharat Mission” and the launch of the Mumbai terminal.
It adds that it will feature certified vegetarian, Jain and halal cuisine, alongside a variety of entertainment options and onboard activities.
The statement adds that the ship will cater to a diverse range of passengers, offering a mix of international and regional culinary experiences.

It adds that the passengers on the Lakshadweep cruise will visit Agatti Island, while the Goa cruise will take passengers to the popular coastal destination.
It futher adds that the with a focus on convenience, Resorts World One aims to provide an accessible cruise experience for Indian travellers, offering direct departures from Mumbai without the need to fly abroad.
