Building on the success of its first campaign, which brought together over 500 participants, Reserva Las Torres, a hotel in the Chilean National Park located in the Patagonia, has launched the next chapter of its ‘10 Volunteers for 10 Days 2025’ programme where 10 persons are selected for an all-paid 10-day trip to the National Park to help restore the nature there.
In a press statement, Las Torres says that the second edition will build on the work done by the volunteers in the first campaign last year. It says that the voluntourism initiative aims to repair and rebuild heavily eroded trails, ushering in a new era of sustainable, gentle-grade pathways that will safeguard the park’s delicate ecosystem.
It says that the second edition, too, will offer a chance to win an all-expenses-paid voluntourism trip to Chile, with two exciting date options available. It adds that the winners will immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty of Patagonia, Chile, while actively supporting the restoration of the Base Torres trails in the Reserve located in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Torres del Paine National Park. This restoration is essential for both preserving the iconic destination and ensuring the survival of its unique ecosystem.
Located in Chile’s Southern Ice Field, Torres del Paine National Park is home to some of the world’s most awe-inspiring landscapes. Adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers flock here to marvel at the famous Cuernos del Paine, or the ‘Horns of Paine’, towering peaks, and vibrant blue icebergs.
It says that in the inaugural edition of the campaign, volunteers successfully contributed to restoring 480 metres of the Base Torres trail, a critical path for visitors and the ecosystem alike. With over 500 entries received from participants in the United States and Canada, representing diverse ages, backgrounds, and skills, 10 enthusiastic volunteers from North America made a lasting impact on both the park’s infrastructure and their own lives.
Their transformative experiences were captured in testimonials and videos, reaching 10.8 million people across platforms. It says that now, the story continues by inviting candidates to join the second edition of “10 Volunteers for 10 Days” and help build a path toward a sustainable future.

This year, the initiative broadens its mission by introducing new restoration objectives and activities, further contributing to the preservation of the Reserve located in the heart of the UNESCO Biosphere Torres del Paine National Park. From April 7–12 and April 15–20, the selected volunteers will not only restore additional sections of the Base Torres trail but also engage in conservation-focussed workshops and immersive cultural experiences.
Starting February 5, Las Torres Patagonia has begun to accept video entries on Instagram for the chance to win a spot on this life-changing trip. Participants should describe in their video, which must be no longer than 45 seconds, what sustainability and ecotourism mean to them, or why these concepts are important. Entries must tag @lastorres.patagonia and include the hashtag #PatagoniaVoluntourism2025.
It says that 10 winners will be chosen to join the campaign during one of two scheduled trips from April 7–12 or April 15–20. Las Torres Patagonia will cover all travel expenses, including round-trip airfare, accommodations, and meals.
Participants must also register their information on the Las Torres Patagonia website to be eligible. Entries close at midnight PST on February 19.
After February 19, Las Torres Patagonia will announce the winners on its Instagram account and notify them via email. Winners will have until February 25 to confirm their participation. Las Torres Patagonia reserves the right to select winners who meet all established criteria and requirements. Additionally, Las Torres Patagonia will be responsible for forming the groups and assigning the travel dates.
Winners will enjoy a five-day, all-expenses-paid trip to Patagonia, where they will participate in trail restoration and conservation efforts. The journey begins at Hotel Las Torres, an upscale all-inclusive property at the entrance of the famous trekking circuits in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park, offering direct access to iconic trekking routes, including the famous W and O circuits. Volunteers will balance trail work with exploration and relaxation, making the most of one of the world’s most awe-inspiring destinations.
It says that the entrants must be 21 years or older to participate and must be in apt condition to carry out strenuous, hands-on activity.
Winners will be assigned travel dates at random. The prize will include round-trip non-refundable airfare, ground transfers upon arrival to Puerto Natales Airport or Punta Arenas, lodging and meals at Las Torres Patagonia, and a curated itinerary with regenerative ecotourism activities led by trained professionals. The prize is non-negotiable, non-transferable and is not available for cash value.
