Tickets for international sensation, Ed Sheeran’s concert, the first-ever major international concert held in Bhutan, are almost sold out with over 23,000 Bhutanese and international fans expected to attend the event.

“The demand for Ed Sheeran’s upcoming concert in Bhutan has been phenomenal, drawing significant interest from both Bhutanese residents and international travellers. It is remarkable to see the level of enthusiasm for this concert in a country with a population of just 750,000. This overwhelming response highlights Ed Sheeran’s universal appeal and the profound connection his music has with audiences across the globe,” says Carissa Nimah, Chief Marketing Officer, Department of Tourism, Bhutan.

“The excitement and anticipation surrounding this event underscores Bhutan’s growing presence as a destination for world-class performances and global audiences. We would like to thank everyone involved, and especially our hospitality partner Tashi Group for their support,” she adds.

In a press statement, the organisers say that for the concert, taking place at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu on January 24, Sheeran is bringing his own state-of-the-art production equipment for the show, and the setup and logistical operations are being managed by local Bhutanese teams.

The event is being promoted by Gelephu Mindfulness City, a Special Administrative Region (SAR) in its southern plains and AEG Presents, a globally leading sports and live entertainment company by arrangement with One Fiinix Live.
