Bringing together an important lineup of key delegates from both nations, Qatar recently concluded a two-city roadshow in New Delhi and Mumbai to cement its status as a premier destination for Indian travellers.
In a press statement, the tourism promotion body Visit Qatar says that the event saw 25 key partners engaging with over 200 of India’s top travel agents and tour operators.
The statement adds that the evening fostered productive networking, strengthening connections between Qatari hospitality providers and key Indian corporate decision-makers
The board says that its initiative is a part of promoting Qatar as a versatile destination catering to a wide range of travellers, from leisure seekers to business tourists, highlighting the country’s diverse tourism offerings.
It says that whether it is adventure, luxury, art, culture, or history, Qatar offers an array of experiences that cater to every kind of visitor. Qatar has emerged as a compelling destination for Indian travellers, offering a rich blend of cultural, adventure and luxury experiences.
The statement adds that the country’s attractions, such as the Museum of Islamic Art, Katara Cultural Village and the vibrant Souq Waqif, paired with its luxury hospitality offerings, make it a destination that caters to diverse interests.
The statement adds that the roadshow featured a lineup of partners, including 15 leading hotels, 10 destination management companies (DMCs) participated in the roadshows.
In a move to promote Qatar’s MICE offerings, Visit Qatar hosted its inaugural corporate networking evening in Mumbai. The statement adds that the evening fostered productive networking, strengthening connections between Qatari hospitality providers and key Indian corporate decision-makers.
The statement adds that Qatar’s strategic location, coupled with its renowned hospitality and rich cultural heritage, presents a unique opportunity for travellers to explore the country as an ideal stopover destination.
It adds that Qatar has also noted a sharp increase in Indian arrivals over the past few years, with numbers rising from 166,000 in 2021 to 420,000 in 2023.
It says that this year alone, Qatar has received 12 MICE groups from India, with a strong pipeline for the coming year, including a significant incentive group of 2,600 corporate travellers set to visit next month.
