Leading travel and tourism fair of the Nordic countries, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, will be held over a four-day period from January 16 to 19, 2025 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre in Finland’s capital, Helsinki.

In a press statement, the organisers of the travel exhibition say that the programme and the list of exhibitors for Matka Travel Fair, 2025 are live on the event’s website.

The organisers add that an exclusive ‘Day for Professionals’ will be organised on January 16, designed to inspire business plans for the year ahead. The programme spans six dedicated stages and zones, each offering fresh perspectives on vacation planning, and highlights a wide array of services to enhance the travel experience.

Visitors will also get a chance to witness event’s unique layout, designed to resemble a bustling cityscape, with the Finnair Lounge serving as an inviting space for relaxation and connection, they say.

According to the statement, Finnish Travel Industry Association will host a series of Matkatieto seminars on January 16 and 17 offering expert insights on the topics including making the world of travel accessible, managing travel flows and the power of data amongst others in English language.

The four-day event will also highlight key trends shaping the travel industry in 2025. The trends expected to pick up next year include sustainable tourism, bleisure travel, business and leisure trips, tech-integrated journeys and increasing popularity of hobby-based travel and international group activities amongst others.

The statement adds that travellers are increasingly seeking customised experiences, demonstrating a willingness to invest in tailored offerings with authentic cultural interactions and well-being-focused activities continuing to remain as top priorities. New routes, accommodations, and services are also drawing attention both
