The awards night represents a major opportunity to showcase the culinary scene of Western Australia
The Margaret River region, a town in South West of Western Australia, is set to shine on the global stage this November, as it becomes the first Australian host of the prestigious the World’s 50 Best Vineyards awards.
In a press statement, the officials of Tourism Western Australia say that scheduled for November 19, the internationally renowned event will honour exceptional vineyards from around the world, recognising those that offer outstanding wine, food and visitor experiences.
The statement adds that secured by the Western Australian Government through Tourism WA, the awards night represents a major opportunity to showcase the culinary scene of Western Australia.
Moreover, the event is expected to further cement the state’s reputation as a premium destination for wine, food and nature-based tourism.
The officials say that this marks the first time the esteemed ‘50 Best’ global brand will recognise vineyards, creating a significant international media platform for the South West. The awards will also kick off an exciting week in the region, with the return of the Pair’d Margaret River festival from November 20-23.
The statement adds that now in its second year, Pair’d is a vibrant four-day celebration of the South West’s world-class wine, food and music. The festival features exclusive experiences across iconic wineries and destinations, with collaborations from the region’s top chefs, winemakers and sommeliers.
According to the statement, the inaugural Pair’d in 2024 was a resounding success, attracting over 1,000 visitors from outside the region and generating more than USD 2 million for the local economy.
