Looking to strengthen its international presence, Magnicity, the company behind observation decks such as 360 Chicago, says that new projects are underway in the United States, Asia and Europe.
In a press statement, Magnicity says that an official update on the specific cities and towers will be made public by the end of this year.
It adds that its Spiral Tower concept is being considered for development in the US. Designed as a modular structure composed of spiralling pods, this tower is intended for urban deployment.
As per the statement, the announcement follows several developments from the company. These include the acquisition of the 95th and 96th floors of Chicago’s former John Hancock Centre, a new restaurant opening in the Berlin TV Tower, and a concept restaurant that opened in Rotterdam earlier this year.
The statement says that the two uppermost floors of the Chicago tower are now being developed into an expansion of 360 Chicago and a new event venue. Additionally, public access to the floors will remain available.
The French company says that in June, it opened Sphere by Tim Raue in its Berlin property. The restaurant features a menu designed by chef Tim Raue and offers cuisine from Berlin and Brandenburg. In Rotterdam, the company opened Celest in De Zalmhaven tower, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s short story “The Unparalleled Adventure of One Hans Pfaall.”
