In a press statement, Louis Vuitton says that the eponymous café is set alongside a Louis Vuitton shop
In a first-of-its kind venture in the United Kingdom, French luxury giant Louis Vuitton has opened its first café in the country at London Heathrow in Terminal 2, near Gate A17.
In a press statement, Louis Vuitton says that the eponymous café is set alongside a Louis Vuitton shop. It adds that both the shop and Le Café Cyril Lignac will be open to the public on a walk-in basis only, from 05:30 to 22:00, Monday to Sunday.
It says that the new store joins three other existing Louis Vuitton outlets in London Heathrow, located in Terminal 3, Terminal 4 and Terminal 5.
The luxury giant says that French chef Cyril Lignac is renowned for fusion restaurants and patisseries-chocolate boutiques.
New café in collaboration with Louis Vuitton’s will offer an all-day menu
In London Heathrow, his new café in collaboration with Louis Vuitton’s will offer an all-day menu, including croissants and fruit plates for early travellers, as well as lighter options such as crab salad and elevated snacks.
The statement adds that hot dishes on offer are Croque Monsieur, lobster rolls, beetroot salad with goats cheese and caesar salad. And for dessert: branded Louis Vuitton patisseries and mango Eton Mess.
It goes on to say that items sold in the shop will mostly be from the Louis Vuitton’s womenswear collection, with a smaller selection of men’s accessories and leather goods available too.
The statement adds that the café and shop are connected and stand under a curved, aerodynamic façade designed in collaboration with New York-based architect Marc Fornes, with whom Louis Vuitton has worked with before.
The statement adds that inside the structure, accents of orange and gold tones and colourful Quetzal Mobiles or hanging models of South American birds by Atelier Oï, make for a warm environment separate from the bustle of the airport.
