The extension of the programme aligns with Los Angeles Tourism’s broader participation in GMID
To mark Global Meetings Industry Day, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board has extended its ‘We Love LA’ group offers for meeting and event planners through June 2026. The initiative highlights Los Angeles’ commitment to supporting the meetings and events industry, providing exclusive benefits and incentives for organisers choosing the city as their next business event destination.
In a press statement, Los Angeles says that the initiative provides hotel incentives and financial rewards aimed at attracting more conventions, corporate meetings, and large-scale events to the city.
It adds that planners submitting new meeting or event proposals to the LA Tourism sales team are eligible for a USD 50 gift card for bookings of 10–99 rooms on peak and USD 100 for bookings with 100 or more rooms on peak. Once a group is booked, planners can receive USD 10 per actualised room night, up to USD 5,000 back to their organisation, excluding complimentary nights.
The statement adds that more than 50 hotel offers are available across various LA regions, including Downtown, the Westside, Beach cities, the valley, and Greater Hollywood. Offers vary but may include upgrades, complimentary amenities and reduced vendor or meeting room rental fees.
It adds that the extension of the programme aligns with Los Angeles Tourism’s broader participation in GMID and ongoing support for industry collaboration.
The tourism board says that the city is also preparing to host the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) 2025 Annual Meeting & Expo, underlining its role as a key destination for professional events.

It adds that Los Angeles Tourism is a sponsor of Meeting Professionals International’s annual GMID broadcast, a 12-hour virtual event that gathers global industry leaders to discuss strategies for organising responsible and sustainable meetings.
It further adds that the announcement comes as Los Angeles positions itself for a busy decade of international events, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“Meetings and events are just as important to LA’s economy as leisure travel. Conventions, corporate meetings, and large-scale events drive billions of dollars into our community annually. With our unbeatable year-round weather and world-class venues and attractions, there are endless possibilities for planners to create truly unforgettable events that are uniquely LA. As Los Angeles recovers post-wildfires, we’re especially grateful for the continued support of the meeting planner community and their trust in Los Angeles to deliver exceptional, one-of-a-kind experiences,” says Adam Burke, President & CEO, Los Angeles Tourism.
