The Korea Travel Fiesta 2024, organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) India, has wrapped up its two-day event in New Delhi on October 20.

In a press statement, KTO says that the event featured cultural performances, K-Beauty experiences and Korean cuisine, aimed to deepen the connection between Indian visitors and the vibrant culture of South Korea.

KTO says that the fiesta drew large crowds eager to immerse themselves in Korean culture, with performances by the dynamic K-Pop group One Way Crew and a comic martial arts show by South Korean comedic theatrical performance Jump, which came directly from Korea to showcase the best of the K-Wave.

The K-Beauty Zone featured makeup sessions from top brands like Jenny House and Amore Pacific, while the K-Food Zone offered visitors Korea’s finest culinary preparations.

The statement adds that a special highlight of the event was the K-Stamp Rally Adventure, where participants explored various experience zones, collecting stamps to win exclusive Korean merchandise.

The statement adds that the K-Lucky Draw during the Opening Ceremony awarded lucky winners prizes, including a Samsung S24 mobile, a Galaxy Watch 7 and a round-trip ticket to Korea, courtesy of Thai Airways.

KTO says that the event was graced by Anushka Sen, a prominent brand ambassador for Korea Tourism, whose presence brought youthful energy to the celebration. Her participation, along with other brand ambassadors, helped foster stronger cultural ties between India and South Korea.

Korea Tourism Roadshow 2024

The statement adds that prior to the Fiesta, the Korea Tourism Roadshow 2024 took place at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre on October 18.

This exclusive event attracted nearly 400 participants from the Indian travel industry, facilitating over 1,000 B2B meetings with exhibitors such as Korean Air, Air India and leading Korean attractions like Jenny House and the Jump performance team.

KTO says that the roadshow culminated with a ‘gala night’ attended by 350 prominent figures, including Super 30 Founder Anand Kumar, who is a Korea Tourism Honorary Ambassador.

The event celebrated the strengthening of business partnerships between India and South Korea, which are expected to boost tourism between the two nations.

KTO also took the opportunity to honour key travel industry partners, recognising the efforts of Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and travel agents in promoting travel to South Korea from India.

The statement adds that the Korea Travel Fiesta and Roadshow serve as pivotal events in strengthening tourism and business ties between South Korea and India.

With South Korea’s easy visa policies, diverse attractions, and direct flight connectivity, the country has seen a growing influx of Indian travellers, says the board, adding that the success of this year’s Fiesta further cements South Korea as a top travel destination for Indian tourists.
