In a significant move to strengthen its presence in the Indian market, the Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) will participate in the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM), held from January 30 to February 1, at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, showcasing South Korea’s diverse tourism offerings to Indian travel professionals.

In a press statement, KTO says its participation in the event underscores its commitment to strengthening ties with the Indian travel industry and promoting South Korea as a key destination for Indian tourists.

It adds that as part of its strategic efforts for 2025, KTO will focus on joint marketing promotions, familiarisation trips (FAM trips), digital campaigns, multi-city roadshows, and continued participation in industry events like OTM.

KTO says that these initiatives aim to further enhance Korea’s visibility in the Indian market and drive tourist arrivals.

It adds that the KTO Booth at OTM 2025 will offer a platform for business networking and discussions, showcasing tailored travel packages for Indian tourists.

The statement adds that the booth will feature a range of experiences, including luxury travel, the Hallyu (Korean Wave), culinary tourism, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) opportunities.

It adds that the goal is to foster partnerships and increase awareness of Korea as a tourist destination.

“Our presence at OTM 2025 marks a strong kickstart to an exciting year ahead. It is a valuable opportunity for our Korean delegation comprising 10 Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and Airline partner to connect with key travel professionals in India, share Korea’s diverse tourism offerings, and inspire more Indian travellers to explore our beautiful country. Through initiatives like this, we aim to strengthen our partnerships and create memorable journeys for Indian tourists,” says Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director, India & SAARC Countries, KTO.
