In a press statement, the Jordan Tourism Board says that its versatile scenery and efficient film commission aim to attract major international film projects to position the nation as a top destination for diverse cinematic landscapes.

JTB says that this competitive financial incentive, combined with Jordan’s stunning and diverse landscapes, has helped establish it as a prime filming destination.

The country has been featured in major blockbusters like the Martian, Star Wars, Dune, Aladdin, Sergio, John Wick, Moon Knight and Zero Dark Thirty, among many others, attracting both filmmakers and tourists eager to explore these iconic filming sites.

The board says that beyond cost-efficiency, Jordan is also appealing for its unique landscapes that can double for a range of global settings.

This diversity allows filmmakers to capture multiple scenic environments within a small geographic area; the nation can be traversed from north to south in just five hours, adding to its logistical convenience. 

The statement adds that the Royal Film Commission of Jordan (RFC) streamlines the process, managing permits and providing essential support to ensure smooth production operations.

It adds that Jordan’s cinematic allure has also attracted notable Indian films such as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Krrish 3 and Vishwaroopam, where the country doubled for other international locations.
