Israel has officially launched an electronic visa system for Indian travellers
In order to attract a greater footfall of Indian travellers, Israel has officially launched an electronic visa system, starting January 1. According to Israeli Ministry of Tourism (IMOT), this new system is designed to streamline the visa application process, offering greater accessibility and convenience for Indian nationals planning to visit Israel.
In the statement IMOT says that this new system allows Indian travellers residing in India to apply for visas digitally, offering a streamlined application process and integration with Israel’s Entry Travel Authorisation (ETA) system.
It adds that the process includes streamlined documentation requirements, offering greater accessibility and convenience to individual tourists.
The statement adds that the e-visa is for individual tourists, with group applications continuing via existing channels, and submissions made through the official portal.
It adds that this initiative highlights Israel’s commitment to strengthening tourism ties with India and addressing the specific needs of Indian travellers, while ensuring high standards of security and efficiency.
