Indian travellers continue to be among the most cherished visitors to Georgia, according to the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA).
In a press statement, GNTA says that there is deep appreciation for the growing enthusiasm among Indian tourists, who are drawn to the vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes and renowned hospitality of the country.
The statement adds that Georgia remains open and excited to welcome Indians and that the visa process of the country has been designed to be both fair and efficient, ensuring a smooth experience for all applicants.
GNTA says that to facilitate seamless travel, it has issued a reminder for Indian visitors to carefully follow official guidelines when applying for a visa.
According to the statement, applicants are required to submit several key documents, including a passport-size photograph meeting Georgian e-Visa requirements, a scanned copy of their passport’s bio pages, an Aadhar-linked mobile number and email ID, Aadhar card and financial proof such as a six-month bank statement, Income Tax returns for the last three years and a PAN card.
The statement adds that sponsored travellers must also provide the sponsor’s bank statement, proof of relationship and a sponsorship letter.
The tourism promotion board adds that upon arrival in Georgia, the travellers must be able to provide to the immigration officials documents like their passport, printed copy of e-visa, if applicable, a document proving purpose of travel, return flight tickets, a proof of accommodation, travel and health insurance as well as a document proving sufficient financial means.
The statement adds that Indian passport holders with valid visas for the United States, the United Kingdom, the Schengen area or Japan can enter Georgia visa-free.
