In order to continue the promotion of sustainable tourism and hence push the drive towards UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), Germany has relaunched its Embrace German Nature campaign.

In a press statement, German National Tourist Board (GNTB) says that it continues to bolster its sustainable tourism offerings with the imminent relaunch of one of its most popular campaigns, Embrace German Nature.

GNTB says that Germany’s natural world is breath-taking in its beauty and scale. The landscape comprises hundreds of mountains and glaciers, soaring above flowering meadows, crystal lakes of drinking water quality and charming villages. It is one of Europe’s most wooded countries with flourishing flora and fauna, from its thick forests to its bison, raccoons and lynx population.

The board adds that Germany is a country brimming with beautiful natural viewpoints, many of which can be accessed on foot or by cable car before the dawn breaks, meaning that the sights out over mountain peaks and peaceful meadows can be appreciated at their most beautiful: as they’re hit by the light of the sun’s first golden rays. From rewarding early-morning summit hikes, to delicious breakfasts enjoyed while overlooking the land and sipping champagne.

With Germany being home to 51 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and more than 33 pc of the country under special environmental protection, the campaign also highlights the stunning natural landscapes, which include 18 Biosphere Reserves, 16 National Parks covering more than 10,000 sqkm, and 104 nature parks.
