Indian guests generated 826,000 overnight stays in hotels and guesthouses in 2023, an increase of 33 pc compared to 2022

The German National Tourist Office India recently wrapped up a series of roadshows in Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai, engaging with over 120 travel agents and industry stakeholders.

The German National Tourist Office India recently concluded a series of high-profile events for travel agents in Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai, aimed at showcasing Germany’s diverse offerings and insights on how travel agents and their clients can benefit from visiting Germany.

In a press statement, German National Tourist Office states that the roadshows were attended by over 120 agents and industry stakeholders and their German counterparts including Baden-Baden Tourism Board, Visit Berlin, Frankfurt Airport, Lufthansa Group and Rail Europe amongst others, engaging in fruitful discussions regarding their respective destinations and products.

The statement adds that the flow of travellers from India to Germany has been growing steadily for many years, Indian guests generated 826,000 overnight stays in hotels and guesthouses in 2023, an increase of 33 pc compared to 2022.

After the success of these roadshows, the German National Tourist Office India is set to host the next set of events in the month of later this month in Jaipur and Coimbatore respectively, in collaboration with German flag carrier Lufthansa Group.
