Fiji recognised as Oceania’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2024 by WTA

Fiji has an ideal nature’s bounty and contemporary marvels to make it a must-visit destination for Indian travellers

Known for its exquisite beach views, array of adventure activities, and also as one of the most developed economies in the Pacific, Fiji has gained multiple accolades at the 2024 World Travel Awards.

Fiji has gathered several accolades as a premier travel destination at the 2024 World Travel Awards, globally recognised as one of the most prestigious honours programme in travel and tourism, further solidifying its tourism marvels. 

According to a press statement by Tourism Fiji, the island country in Melanesia was crowned Oceania’s Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2024, while Tourism Fiji secured a back-to-back win as Oceania’s Leading  Tourist Board 2024.

The statement adds that Fiji’s national airline, Fiji Airways, bagged two highly  coveted titles of Oceania’s Leading Airline Lounge for its Premier Lounge at Nadi International Airport and Oceania’s Leading Inflight Magazine for FijiTime. 

The statement adds that among other remarkable Fiji winners at the 2024 World Travel Awards include the Sigatoka River Safari which was recognised as Oceania’s Leading Adventure Tour Operator, and Likuliku Lagoon Resort Fiji, which won Oceania’s Leading Beach Resort.

Many other stays excelled in the awards, including the Taveuni Palms Resort, which was honoured as Oceania’s Leading Boutique Resort while InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa received recognition as Oceania’s Leading Family Resort, and Imperial Suite at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa won Oceania’s Leading Hotel Suite. 

Tourism Fiji says that these accolades further emphasise Fiji’s diverse offerings and make it ideal for Indian travellers seeking adventure, luxury, and family-friendly experiences. 

From the thrilling Sigatoka River Safari to the luxurious Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Fiji offers an array of  experiences that cater to every type of traveller. 

The statement adds that Fiji has an ideal nature’s bounty and contemporary marvels to make it a must-visit destination for Indian travellers. 

It says that with Fiji’s breathtaking beaches, rich cultural heritage and array of outdoor adventures, it is rapidly becoming a preferred  destination for Indian tourists. 

The statement adds that with connectivity through Fiji Airways and a range of world class resorts, Fiji promises an unforgettable escape for those seeking unique travel experiences.
