Europa Parks, one of GNTB’s top 100 sights and the recent winner of German Sustainability Award for its achievements in sustainable change in the country, is all set to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year.
In a press statement, the German National Tourism Board says that Europa Park is all set to open its magical anniversary season on March 22, and will host a series of celebrations, exclusive offers, new shows, parade and special themed parties throughout the year.
According to the park’s website there will be a special preview a week earlier, with a ‘Europa-Park Pre-Opening’ slated for March 15. Amongst the attractions as part of the celebrations, the park is hosting an art contest featuring work of art, which can include photos, paintings, dance or even a song, that expresses the participant’s favourite moment at the Europa Park Resort.
Additionally, to celebrate Europa Park’s 50th anniversary, Mack Magic is releasing a very special birthday present featuring Ed & Edda: Grand Prix of Europe, the first big 90-minute cinema adventure featuring Europa’s popular mascot stars Ed & Edda.
The website also mentions that as a central charity project for Europa Park’s 50th birthday, a children’s house called ‘Kleine Helden’ (Little Heroes) is being built in Silver Lake City. The Europa Park Zeppelin will also make a come-back as a special highlight during the anniversary weekend and Ed & Edda will be featured on the same.
To mark the end of the anniversary year, DJ BoBo will present his new tour with spectacular stage design and impressive choreography in the Europa-Park Arena from January 15 to 17, 2026.
