Disney Destiny is slated for a launch in November 2025
Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of media and entertainment giant Disney has announced the expansion of its fleet with four new ships that will launch between 2027 and 2031.
This was announced by Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Experiences, on Saturday night during an event at Anaheim in California.
Disney Cruise Line is currently celebrating the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, which is part of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan event at Anaheim.
D’Amaro says that the new ships will join the fleet’s five others currently sailing, along with four others already under construction. He also announced details of several new signature entertainment that would be launched on two of the ships that are already under construction, the Disney Treasure and the Disney Destiny.
While Disney Treasure is set to sail on its maiden voyage in December this year, Disney Destiny is slated for a launch in November 2025.
With its homeport at Cape Canaveral in Florida, Disney Treasure, powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), will be able to accommodate 4,000 passengers and will have 1,555 crew members. It will have 1,133 outside staterooms, 877 verandah staterooms, 170 oceanview staterooms and 123 inside staterooms.
