Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 is poised to attract a record number of high-value visitors, with registrations up by 104 pc compared to same time last year.

In a press statement, the organisers say that this surge underscores ATM’s position as a crucial platform for travel trade professionals globally.

The statement adds that international markets account for a significant 52 pc of total visitor registrations, highlighting the event’s global appeal and importance of fostering cross-cultural connections and collaborations.

The organisers say that meanwhile, visitors from UAE and GCC countries contribute substantially, making up 48 pc of registrations.

“Increased international attendance strengthens the global profile of ATM, providing a vital boost to the local economy and driving revenue in sectors such as hospitality, retail, and travel, thereby demonstrating the impact and strength of business events,” says Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market.

“This year’s edition is expected to see notable growth in participation from key regions, reflecting demand from across the global tourism industry,” Curtis adds.

The statement says that the top five registered countries for ATM 2025 include the host, United Arab Emirates, India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.

The statement adds that India’s thriving outbound travel market and expanding aviation sector make it a significant source of demand for the travel industry. Egypt’s tourism revenues reached USD 15.3 billion in 2024, marking a substantial increase over the past decade, with ambitious targets set for the future.

The organisers say that Saudi Arabia, driven by Vision 2030 initiatives, has emerged as a strong player in the global travel market. The UK remains crucial for both inbound and outbound tourism, with a significant presence in business travel and among tour operators.

According to the statement, last year, ATM saw notable increases in visitors from Africa, the Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East, with similar growth expected this year. Regionally, countries like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait have seen significant visitor increases.

The organisers say that ATM 2025 will focus on the theme Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity, emphasising how connectivity is shaping the thriving tourism industry.

The statement adds that the event will serve as a platform to showcase more than 2,800 companies from over 161 global destinations.

The statement says that ATM Travel Tech has grown by 23 pc, featuring innovative technologies and industry leaders like Booking and TripAdvisor. New event features include the Start-up and Innovation Zone, which will feature immersive VR experiences and showcase emerging companies like Biyiy Electric Bikes.
