Albania is set to take centre stage at ITB Berlin 2025, marking the country’s prominent role as the official host country.

ITB Berlin, a leading global travel and trade fair, will feature Albania as the official host country in 2025. Albania will showcase its tourism and cultural offerings through various activities, performances, and discussions.

In a press statement, ITB says that from March 4-6, Albania will present its diverse tourism offerings under the theme Albania All Senses, bringing its cultural heritage, landscapes and unique experiences to a global audience.

It adds that the Ministry of Tourism and Environment has planned an extensive programme to highlight the country’s tourism and agritourism sectors.

ITB says that the official activities will kick off with a press conference and grand opening ceremony on March 3, led by Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Tourism Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi.

It adds that the opening ceremony will feature a cinematic journey through Albania, live music and dance performances, and a culinary reception to introduce international guests to Albania’s traditional flavours.

The statement adds that the National Opera Theatre and performances like the Dance of Tropoja will showcase the deep cultural traditions that Albania offers to tourists.

It adds that during the exhibition, Albania will engage attendees at its in Hall 3.1, with interactive experiences, multimedia displays, and panel discussions.

It further adds that the key highlights at the stand include meet-and-greet sessions with Albania’s officials and industry leaders, discussions on Albania as a rising tourism gateway, and performances featuring Albanian traditional and contemporary music.

ITB says that the special events like A Taste of Albania – Wine & Tradition and Exploring Albania Through Active Tourism will provide opportunities to experience the country’s gastronomy and natural landscapes.

It adds that Albania will introduce new digital tools and initiatives aimed at boosting cultural tourism, such as TEA (Tourism Events of Albania), and offer insight into the country’s growing investment potential, with discussions on Albania’s innovation landscape and emerging sectors like digital nomadism.

It further adds that a wine-tasting event will also allow visitors to sample Albanian wines while enjoying serenades from the Korça region.
