“As anticipated, Eid holidays were a success across the UAE with demand for accommodation rebounding after the month of Ramadan. The northern emirates of Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah continued to be extremely popular as indicated by their high occupancy levels,” says Kostas Nikolaidis, Senior Account Manager, Middle East, Africa, STR.
It adds that Ajman was the only hotel market in the UAE to exceed 95 pc occupancy during the period, while Ras Al Khaimah recorded the highest average daily rate (ADR), crossing AED 1,000.

According to press statement, CoStar says that the lowest occupancy rates during Eid al-Fitr were recorded in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah with 89.7 pc and 89.8 pc respectively.
“Ramadan occurring earlier in the winter season has helped balance last year’s over performance due to Catholic Easter coinciding with Ramadan, which drove additional demand. Consequently, Eid 2025 coincided with the UAE spring break school holidays which unlocked the opportunity for many families to make extended travel plans, both for staycations and also international travel,” adds Nikolaidis.
