Beyonk, a UK based booking platform company, has acquired Goliath Reservation Systems which trades as BookingHound, a specialist online booking and management platform for activities, experiences and attractions.
According to both the companies this is a deal that aims at creating the largest booking platform in the UK by merging over 6,000 bookable experiences and over one million unique event instances across the sovereign state.
“Our goal is to build the World’s biggest Experience Booking Platform. That begins with empowering experience providers to grow their businesses with powerful software, whilst providing white-label marketplace software to major event promotion platforms, so consumers can easily find and book experiences. Part of our strategy is to bolster our 250 pc annual organic growth rate with inorganic growth. For all of our white-label marketplace users – from tourist boards to travel brands – they’ll have access to more inventory to sell to their millions of website visitors. Whilst we’ll be able to serve more specialist businesses through what we believe is the most configurable platform on the market with BookingHound,” says Oscar White, CEO, Beyonk.
BookingHound CEO Mike Cohen says that the transaction presented itself as an exciting opportunity for BookingHound shareholders and its community of users. By joining both the companies, they have now established the largest independent experience booking platform in the UK which Cohen believes will be replicated across other regions globally by Beyonk.
The price paid for BookingHound remains confidential but White states that it is a 7 figure transaction, based on the scale the Bookinghound shareholders managed to reach within their business.
Beyonk intends to offer BookingHound functionality to complex businesses that require a large range of features, but also to focus on ensuring Beyonk remains a simple platform which caters for the majority of the market where additional functionality can be added in through their app store.
